Union Beach

Union Beach, New Jersey

Union Beach

Union Beach is located in the far north of New Jersey in Monmouth County. This tiny, under-two-square-mile borough on the beach is the type of place where everybody knows everybody. Founded in 1925 by the New Jersey Legislature, the town now has over 5,500 people calling it home. Your neighbors are close, but there aren't so many people that this hidden gem is overcrowded. Living here has its perks as well. In the last ten years, home values have increased by over twenty percent. Amazingly, the public-school system spends over twenty-three thousand dollars per student. Nearly double the national average, and at 12 students per teacher, education is a premium. Additionally, the crime rate is roughly half the rate the rest of the country is exposed to. This is genuinely New Jersey's slice of paradise.

The beach on the bay is a favorite of locals and visitors alike who want to get away and enjoy some fun in the sun. If you wish to work on your tan, or maybe throw around a football or a frisbee, the beach is the perfect summer spot to get outside and enjoy the sun.
Right next to Union Beach is the Keyport Waterfront Park, which is the perfect place to get a fantastic view of the sunset. This park and promenade overlook the beautiful Raritan Bay and some of the surrounding architecture. Two of the most picturesque views are the Manhattan Skyline and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Photographers travel from all over the area to take photos of the majestic sights. Foodies also love this area, as the local food joints, such as Keystone Pizza and Burlew's Steak and Seafood, serve up delicious meals that are often enjoyed on the bench seating overlooking the bay. Birdwatchers can also get their kicks, as several species of birds, like Brant Geese and Merlansers, can be observed in a full dive, hunting for their next meal.

Just a short drive away is one of the best local places that provide fun for the adventurous spirit, Keansburg Amusement and Water Park. This boardwalk theme park has typical booth snacks, from funnel cakes to popcorn and cotton candy, as well as more traditional fare. Thrill-seekers love to frequent the park for the wind-in-their-hair excitement of the rides and especially the water park, Runaway Rapids. This section of the park appeals to everyone, from kids to wanna-be kids. From the multi-colored slides to the pool to the lazy river, this is one of the hottest local spots to cool off.

Unfortunately, the nuances of Union Beach attract more than just homeowners. Pests try to escape the outdoors by sneaking into your home looking for food, water, and shelter. In fact, the Code Enforcement Agency recently issued a raccoon alert warning. The signs may have you searching for a way to get rid of one of these pesky visitors. Fortunately, there is a solution. For all your pest control needs, from getting rid of an active infestation to preventative measures, and rogue raccoons, our experts at Elite Pest Control, are the ones to call.
