Monmouth Beach

Monmouth Beach, New Jersey

Neptune Township, NJ

Monmouth Beach was first settled in 1668 by Norwegians with fishing backgrounds. In 1906, it was officially deemed a borough of New Jersey, reaching up to 3,500 residents. The small town along the Jersey Shore is perfect for a beach day with the family. Ride bikes to grab an ice cream cone and play at the local park. The sand is soft and flat, perfect for setting up your beach tent and making a day of it. Whether local fishermen, artisans, or shop owners, the town attracts a wide variety of visitors and residents.

Monmouth Beach has great weather throughout the summer, so you can visit at a moment’s notice and enjoy the mild waves. One attraction nearby is called Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. This beach park has picnic areas set up to eat off the shore and enjoy a breezy picnic. The sand is combed and cleaned, facilities are new and kept clean, and plenty of available parking is available. Jackson Woods Park was established in 1991 after a 13-acre farmhouse property was preserved for open space. The park recently received an upgrade with a butterfly garden, rock pyramid, and outdoor classroom. The vision for the park is to unite the arts and nature to create an experience worth remembering.

Stay for a weekend at Ocean Place Resort & Spa. Enjoy beachfront luxury as your hotel is steps from the beach. This beach town is less overwhelming than other parts of the Jersey Store. Choose a room with ocean views where you can almost feel the crisp breeze as you overlook the water. Visit the on-site pool for a break from the sand, and when it’s time for a day off from the heat, be sure to stop by the spa for a relaxing time in the soaking tub. Finish your spa day with a complete makeover, including pedicures, manicures, styling, and facials.

Beach days, spa time, and luxurious hotel visits can work up an appetite. Be sure to dine at a local favorite, My Kitchen Witch. The restaurant features a 3-course Friday night dinner by candlelight. Each week, the menu is different as you try new cuisines and flavors. The surprise is the best part. The healthy, home-cooked meals are thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients but do not compromise on taste. Your comfort food favorites are made even better and healthier by My Kitchen Witch. Stop in for Glinda the Green Witch (avocado toast) or a Hocus Pocus omelet with spinach, red peppers, olives, and goat cheese.
